Events in Brighton all year round
Do you have nothing to do, come and visit Brighton. All year round there are many community and family friendly things to do. There is a huge selection of festivals, shows, sport events, funfairs and many many more.
There is many free events and one of the most amazing ones are taking place in Madeira Drive, starting in February with first major event – Brighton and Hove half marathon. This race covers 13,1 miles across the city and is very popular for runners. In March you can come and visit Pioneer motorcycle run – starting in London and finishing in Brighton. April is quite full of events for example Brighton Marathon – 26 miles which enjoy 25 000 runners, Jaguar run – another run from London to Brighton, Children´s parade – which is as well opening event for Brighton festival, Historic commercial vehicle rally – this is one of the greatest displays in the whole world and MG regency run. In May there is Mini rally – huge range of minnis making their route from London to Brighton. There is another run organized in June and it is Classic car run. Probably the biggest event is Brighton and Hove Pride, colourful procession through the city starting in Madeira Drive, ending as a big party in Preston park. September is known for National speed trials – oldest motor racing event , Ace cafe reunion – celebration of 40 000 motorbikes lovers and Landover run – huge display of all sorts of different Landrovers. October belongs to Brighton breeze – display of all sorts of VW cars and Brightona – motorcycle event with about 5000 motorbike owners. In November is Veteran car run and 10K road race – 10 km run along the seafront. In December there is one of the last events and it is Burning the clocks event – children´s lantern parade across the city ending with fireworks in seafront and Madeira Drive.
As you can see there is something for everyone. These events are really interesting and amazing to see.
